Plaintiffs-appellants instituted this action in the district court for the Western District of Michigan asserting that the First National Bank and Trust Company of Marquette (Bank) had converted a coin collection, and the proceeds thereof, to which plaintiffs were entitled by virtue of their status as descendants of the siblings of Nathan M. Kaufman. The district court concluded that the action was barred by the statute of limitations and therefore granted summary judgment in favor of the Bank and the remaining defendant.*fn1
